Asset Data Manager
Our team worked with Emerson Process Management in the development of the Asset Data Manager, a web-based tool intended to facilitate and improve the experience for Plant Web engineers managing projects.
Over the course of 8 months, we conducted user research to gather user needs and requirements, and developed a prototype of the tool to demonstrate the interactions and flows of how tasks can be completed.
Flixster
As a user interface designer for Flixster, I created mockups and specifications for various features on the Facebook Movies application as well as Flixster.com.
Aura
In a project sponsored by Microsoft, our team was tasked to envision and design scenarios based on projections of computing 10 years from now and how it can be used to strengthen familial connections. Using an extensive research process involving exploratory research, interviews, creating prototypes and scenarios of use, our team developed aura, an emotive network for families. Using technology integrated into our lives, we show how aura can provide a sense of presence, awareness and connectedness through different levels and degrees of engagement.

What To Do With All Those Photos?
Conceptual models are a powerful tool in internalizing and communicating design research. In this model, our team researched photo sharing behavior through directed storytelling and developed a model of the digital photography lifecycle to understand and identify potential design opportunities in the process.

Solicitations
In this project, our team conducted guerrilla research about solicitations. With the information collected, we developed a model for how solicitations are currently perceived, and identified design opportunities to improve the experience.

Mood Boards
An inspirational piece, these mood boards are used to communicate various moods (happiness, sadness, boredom, fear, anger, and curiosity) to help guide an expressive emotive quality to designs, as well as serve as a common reference point for a design team to focus on.
ekhomail
The brief for this project was to design a speech interface for email, accounting for various novice and expert users of the system. Informed by background research on speech interfaces, we developed a persona and scenario of use for our system, ekhomail. Ekhomail is an adaptive system that learns the user's terminology, and allows for faster interaction by allowing for various shortcuts and reducing the information presented.
Mattress Factory Service Design
Working in conjunction with the Mattress Factory museum, our team looked to improve the visitor experience. We analyzed the current service landscape, and brainstormed ideas for ways to improve the experience. Below is documentation for 'The Factory Deck', a piece intended to guide and engage visitors to facilitate conversation and exploration of the Mattress Factory.
